MAKING OTHER ARRANGEMENTS
Architectural Association and Bedford Square 1990 The identity of the historic square is separated from its location as an address of consumption at the junction of the analogue and digital age. It is made up of two elements, exterior and interior. The interior arrangement is deployed round a burnt, crushed car of Japanese origin, on pavement slabs carpeted with vinyl records on the floor of the gallery. The images that enclose this arrangement combine Polaroid prints of television close ups, industrialized, consumable images of faces, flowers, and detritus. |
