The City of Liverpool: seen in the picturesque tradition as a signed image, as a souvenir of its past.
The octagonal Palm House in the park has a statue to one of the enablers, scientists and explorers of the park at each of its corners; Christopher Columbus, Captain James Cook, Charles Darwin, Henry the Navigator, Carl Linnaeus, Gerardus Mercator, Andre Le Notre, and John Parkinson.
Large-scale signatures are projected at the entrance to the park. When viewed from any of the flats in the surrounding towers, the landscape appears to be signed by one of its creators.
